HTML Search Forms
SearchDisc comes with samples of HTML Forms ready to use for searching on a CD-ROM. HTML Forms permit fast searching on any
browser and platform with the flexibility of building search queries related to your database. A user defined search query entered in an HTML form is
automatically sent to a Java server and then to the ASTAware Java search engine residing on a CD-ROM without the need for any CGI or other
programming.
The following pages explain the differences between the sample HTML Search Forms included with the product:
A. Simple Search Form utilizes expanded, simple results.
B. Keywords Lookup Form provides search options for count and list of keywords in a Raw format.
C. Meta Tags & Field Search Form allows you to build a custom HTML form based on Meta Tags content in your documents.
D. Cascading Search Form allows simultaneous searching of a CD and multiple servers, providing for an exchange of both static (fixed data on your
CD-ROM) and dynamic information (data on your online publication).
E. Multiple Index Form allows for searching multiple named indexes individually.
